Janet began studying dance as a child in Michigan and performed with the Lansing and Kalamazoo ballet companies before pursuing a BFA in Dance at Florida State University. She then performed professionally and taught dance with Lee Harper & Dancers in Atlanta for seven years. Returning to Tallahassee, Janet danced with FSU’s Dance Repertory Theatre, choreographed for Days of Dance, and received an MFA in Dance. She was a founding member of Women’s Dance Project and taught dance at Tallahassee Community College for over ten years. Her interest in Pilates began upon taking classes with Sue and discovering the many benefits of the system, leading her to complete the Pilates teacher training through Balanced Body.
